Answering your Children's Questions about the Coronavirus

Authors around the world are trying to explain what is happening through the magic of picture books.  Axel Scheffler, illustrator of "The Gruffalo", has collaborated with Nosy Crow, medical experts and child psychologists to bring you this free downloadable picture book.

As our children are dealing with the fallout of this world-wide pandemic, they  might not fully understand the reasons for lockdown, social distancing, and constant hand washing.  Their misunderstandings can lead to fear and confusion.  I hope this book helps!

According to the Nosy Crow website, "The book answers key questions in simple language appropriate for 5 to 9 year olds:

• What is the coronavirus?
• How do you catch the coronavirus?
• What happens if you catch the coronavirus?
• Why are people worried about catching the coronavirus?
• Is there a cure for the coronavirus?
• Why are some places we normally go to closed?
• What can I do to help?
• What’s going to happen next?"

Children will love the illustrations.  And you can clearly see the Scheffler style that we loved so dearly in "The Gruffalo".
