How do I find out my pin/password?

You can choose your pin/password when you register online or at the library. If you have forgotten your pin/password, email us or use the online Forgot PIN option. You can change your pin/password at any time by logging into My Account.

How many eBooks and eAudiobooks can I borrow and for how long?

  • Borrowbox - 6 eBooks, 6 eAudiobooks, and 6 eMagazines; 2 week loans
  • South Island Downloadable Zone - 5 titles; choose between 1, 2 or 3 week loans

Can I renew, reserve and return eBooks and eAudiobooks early?

Yes, you can renew provided there are no holds. Reserves are notified by email. In most cases you can return items early via My Account. Some items may only be returned within the app.

What devices can I use to read eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines?

Libby and BorrowBox are compatible with:

  • Most Android and Apple devices via the respective apps;
  • Kobo eReaders via Adobe Digital Editions;
  • Kindle/Amazon Fire using the app (not compatible with other Kindle devices).
