How long can I loan the kit for?
Each kit is loaned for a period of one week, loans can be extended where there are no holds on the item. Renew your items using the library app, you can also pop in or give us a call.
What should I do with the rubbish collected?
Litter can be disposed of along with household waste or at your local transfer station. A list of local transfer stations can be found here but please note, a fee will apply for the disposal of rubbish through the stations.
- Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
- Avoid sewage, needles, and broken glass.
- Try not to disturb wildlife.
- Borrowers are responsible for the kits whilst they are on loan, including any loss, theft, or damage. We do understand that things happen, so in any instance, please let us know.
Literatti have created an app where you can record your litter findings. Data from the app has been used to help government in New Zealand be more strategic about where to place bins.
Contact your local Sea Shepherd New Zealand team, they may have an upcoming cleanup in your area.
