The Magic Place by Chris Wormell
The Magic Place is about a girl who is locked in a cellar and forced to clean for her so-called Aunt and Uncle. She has never, ever been outside or seen the sunlight. A cat called Gilbert comes and visits her sometimes. One day she is upstairs to clean the attic and she comes across an unlocked door and begins an amazing adventure. It was so good that I read it in a day!
