After 297 ideas from children right across the Central Otago district, our new library mascot's name has been decided! The winning suggestion, "Baxter", came from Cromwell's Amber Keele. At a celebration in Cromwell Library last Saturday, Amber cut the cake (in the shape of Baxter's bone tie) was presented with a prize for coming up with such a great name. The party goers had a fun time making balloon dogs while enjoying soft drinks and nibbles in the children's area.
Baxter will lead the way to fun events, great reads and fantastic services.
