Stepping UP @ Wānaka Library

These FREE classes will help you build your computer and online skills and are designed for people with basic computer skills. Come to as many or as few sessions as you like.

Learn in a friendly, relaxed environment, and ask the questions you've been too afraid to ask!

Two-hour classes, twice weekly, at Wānaka Library on Thursdays 10am-12noon and 1pm-3pm.

Employment Basics
Bring along a written detailed job history and learn how to write a CV. find jobs and apply online.

Real Me and MyMSD
Bring along your Drivers Licence and/or Passport and/or Birth Certificate and learn how to create online accounts recognised by NZ Government agencies.

Thursday 22nd October

Computer Basics
Learn about login, passwords, mouse, files, and folders.

Google and the Internet
Learn about World Wide Web, searching, links, maps, how to copy and paste into Word

Thursday 29th October

Learn to create an account, navigating, sending, receiving, replying, attachments, and safety.

Microsoft Word
Learn to type, select, and format text, save and retrieve documents.

Thursday 5th November

Internet Security and Safety
Learn how to keep yourself and your family safe on the Internet, understanding online threats, protections, parental controls.

Digital Banking
The purpose of this workshop is to provide knowledge and confidence for people moving into online banking. No personal financial information is required.
