The Alexandra Public Library is launching a trial of the Stepping Up programme.
Stepping Up is a free community-based digital literacy programme aspiring to help adults build their digital skills. Anyone wishing to develop basic computer skills is welcome to come along and get involved.
The programme is offered through 20/20 Trust, an organisation set up to provide leadership and work with communities to deliver programmes that contribute to New Zealanders' digital literacy, skills and inclusion.
Four modules will be held every Tuesday from 7 May – 4 June from 6pm to 8pm. The modules will include courses on Computer Basics, Word, Setting up and using an email account, Internet security and Safety. There are only six spaces available per module.
