GoodYarn workshop by Head Light Trust @ Frankton Library

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, Frankton Library is proud to be partnering with Head Light Trust in hosting a GoodYarn workshop. The GoodYarn Programme is an award-winning, evidence-based mental health education programme to help everyday people to increase their understanding of mental health and to learn the skills and confidence to talk to someone who is struggling.

Come and join us in this 3- hour workshop as we conduct an interactive, practical and enjoyable session with topics covering:

  • What is mental health?
  • What are the signs and symptoms of mental distress?
  • What do you say to someone who is struggling?
  • What support is available locally and nationally?

Workshops are delivered by peer facilitators from Head Light Trust, members of our diverse local community who are passionate about mental health and supporting community wellbeing.

Space is limited. For more information or to book a spot, please contact Natasya from Frankton Library at natasya.zambri@qldc.govt.nz.
