Do you want to improve your computer skills or learn something new? Join us for this series of FREE digital classes on a range of topics. In this session we will be exploring ‘Ancestry Library Edition’. Ancestry is a research database for genealogists and family history enthusiasts. It can help you to trace your family history, with records from the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Did you know you get free access to Ancestry with your library card? Get the most of your subscription and learn how to navigate your family history search. In this tutorial we will be looking at:

  • Search tips for using Ancestry
  • Record collections for New Zealand
  • Record collections for the UK
  • Viewing Public Member Trees
  • How to send records home from the library

Where are the classes held?

The classes will be held at the Queenstown Memorial Hall (1 Memorial Street, Queenstown 9300) - just around the corner from the Queenstown Library.
