Santa at the Library!

Guess what!?  Santa is COMING!  ‘Tis the season to be jolly!

Santa has just come and visited the Queenstown Library!  What a fun day!  The man of the hour read some books to a gaggle of excited and star struck children.  Some late stayers took photos and enquired about his health.  And so you don’t worry, Mr and Mrs Claus, their little elves and reindeer are happy and healthy.  They quarantined early and had closed the borders.  Which is relatively normal as their location is hidden.

If you missed Santa’s visit to Queenstown, Mr Claus will be visiting the Wanaka Library this afternoon and on Friday he will be visiting the Frankton Library.

Also, just a small reminder that our annual, Shelve Your Fines, is happening right now!

All QLDC library branches are accepting donations – toiletries, Christmas treats or children books.  Wakatipu donations will go to Happiness House in Queenstown, and Upper Clutha donations will go to Food For Love in Wanaka.

Each item donated will wipe $5 of fines that have accrued over the year.  It’s a great bargain and doing good for the community.
