QLDC Libraries Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is here! This year we want to know, what does Aroha mean to you?

Pick up your Summer Reading Challenge at your local library, enter your personally designed bookmark based on the theme, Aroha, and go in the draw to become one of our bookmarks of the year!

How does the challenge work?

Have fun over the long summer holidays by choosing your own reading challenges (please see our entry form for all the options). Read five or more books and you can enter our bookmark design competition.

Click here or on the card below to download a copy of the challenge card.

How many times can I enter?

You can enter one bookmark for every five books you read. Enter as many times as you want!

How are the bookmark challenge winners selected?

Each bookmark goes into a random draw.

When does the challenge end?

All entries are due by 14 February 2022.

Which libraries are involved?

Queenstown, Frankton, Wānaka, Glenorchy, Kingston, Hāwea, Makarora, and Arrowtown.

Can I have my bookmark entry back?

If you want to keep your bookmark, make sure you make a copy as we are unable to return bookmarks.

Can I also participate in the Read NZ Te Pou Muramura Reading Challenge?

Absolutely! Read NZ also has a summer reading challenge and the books you read for our challenge can also count towards their challenge. Click here for the details.
