Changes are coming in the digital distribution of content provided by Stuff Ltd, “Stuff”, in New Zealand libraries. Starting on November 1st 2019, Stuff content will no longer be available to users through the PressReader app across all platforms.
However, the good news is that PressReader has worked with Stuff to ensure that patrons can continue to access Stuff titles throughout Central Otago - Queenstown Lakes Libraries.
Stuff content is fully accessible to patrons through the PressReader website www.pressreader.com. As long as patrons are authenticated, they can access Stuff titles on both library and personal computers.
Patrons can get access by authenticating in a few different ways:
- Connecting to the Wi-Fi HotSpot within the Central Otago - Queenstown Lakes Libraries network
- Logging in to the library website – https://codc-qldc.govt.nz/library-online/newspapers-and-magazines
Publishers put a lot of work into their content, and this change reflects the publisher’s wish to maintain ownership of their titles while keeping them freely available to library patrons.
