Are you secure online?

Cyber attacks aren't just about big business or wealthy people - they can affect anyone. There's no reason to worry, though, because there are some really simple ways to protect your information.

Cyber Smart Week, run by CERT NZ,  is telling us to make sure a cyber attack won't happen to you by using four simple tools

  • Using a password manager
  • Turning on two-factor authentication
  • Updating your devices
  • Checking your privacy

More information and helpful "How to's" for each topic are available through the website:  https://www.cert.govt.nz/cybersmart and Cyber Smart Week runs from October 14-18 2019.

In addition, Cromwell Library is hosting a free drop in session with a member of the CODC Information Services team on Monday October 14 from 2 - 4 pm and Alexandra Library is hosting a session on Thursday October 17 at 1.30-3.30 pm. There's no need to book, just drop in for a chat with a real person!
