Arrowtown Library is getting a revamp

We’d like to share some exciting news – Arrowtown Library is getting a revamp.

The interior will be repainted, new carpet will be laid, and new shelving will be installed. The library will be closed from 22 July until 15 August to allow this to happen.

However, there is no need for you to go without books. We encourage our Arrowtown patrons to borrow an extra-large stack to see you through the coming month. In fact, you’ll be doing us a favour, as the more you borrow, the fewer we will have to move while renovations are under way.

Please also hold on to any Arrowtown materials you have already borrowed.

In return, we will extend borrowing periods and will waive overdue charges incurred during the Arrowtown Library closure.

You are also welcome to use the Queenstown or Frankton libraries. Or go to codc-qldc.govt.nz/library-online to learn about the ebooks, audio books, films and other online resources available 24/7.

Thank you for your help and patience while we refurbish Arrowtown library. We can’t wait to show you the results!
