In collaboration with Making a Difference MAD4CO and Central Otago REAP we are bringing a community seed library to Alexandra Library.
What is a seed library, I hear you ask? It is a sustainable community initiative to help the sharing of seeds for growing food. You are welcome to share your flower seeds too, they encourage the bees. Pick up seeds from the library, grow them in your garden and enjoy the produce. Then, from any plants allowed to mature, seeds can be harvested and brought back to the library for others to use.
We invite you to bring along any of your spare seeds in labelled packets to contribute to this community resource of shared seeds. Feel free to take some seed to grow in your garden too!
